Dawn has been working with diverse patient populations as a Nurse Midwife since 2003. Dawn has always worked in a hospital setting, in suburban and rural areas. Her Clinical research interests include waterbirth outcomes and setting up rural healthcare programs for underserved patient populations. Currently she teaches in the Nurse Midwifery Program at Bethel University and practices clinically at Astera Health in Wadena, MN. She lives on a farm in rural Minnesota with her family where they enjoy rodeo activities and outdoor water activities.

Biography

We have four children who we reside with on our farm in rural Minnesota. We have many animals. We love the outdoors and being active in it with our animals. We believe you should enjoy life at its fullest and embrace every opportunity to learn and grow from your experiences. I have worked in clinical practice since 2004 and have enjoyed the addition of academia to my skill set starting in 2017.
