Biography

I come from a strong heritage of Christian faith and integrate my own personal faith in Christ into my daily life.  I am an active member in a Lutheran Church in New Jersey, taking multiple opportunites for leadership and service.  During my years as a student at  Bethel Univesrity, I had the opportunity to travel to Ecuador for a cross cultural nursing class.  That was my first opportunity to see first hand healthcare disparity and observe vulnerable populations.  While I took the next 20 years to raise my family and work part time, that experience in Ecuador has stayed a significant part of my life.   In 2011 I start traveling with medical mission trips and have aligned my Christian heart to serve with my nursing skill set.  That has lead to leadership opportunites and I humbly move forward seeing how the Lord can use my experiences, work and faith to positively challenge and impact vulnerable populations and the next generation of nurses.
