Sue's nursing and teaching career has focused on maternal/child health. Sue has done research and published in the area of perinatal bereavement. In addition to teaching, she is currently working as a Perinatal Nurse Navigator with a focus on caring for families who have experienced the loss of a baby. She has developed a high risk perinatal program in Mbale, Uganda that is called "Birth with Dignity: Mothers and Babies of Uganda."
