Former Bethel Pitcher Featured in Marietta Times

The Marietta Times (Ohio) sports editor praised current senior and member of the baseball team coaching staff Chris Dent’s pick-off skills as a left-handed pitcher in a recent article. Dent recently pitched for the Bethel Royals during a defeat against the Minnesota Twins rookie team in a 7.5 inning exhibition contest in Fort Myers, Fla. Dent recorded five strikeouts and two pick-offs while holding the opponent to one run (unearned). His exceptional performance of late reminded the Marietta Times sports editor of one of Dent’s Marietta High School baseball games when he retired the side in pick-offs.
