Bethel University has announced Andy Denton as the new vice president for enrollment management. Denton is currently the vice president for enrollment management at Evangel University in Springfield, Mo., a position he has held since 2007.
"I am excited about the skills and enrollment management experience Andy will bring to lead our enrollment management team at Bethel,” says Joe LaLuzerne, senior vice president for strategic planning and operational effectiveness.
Denton’s previous experience includes work as director of admissions at Evangel and as associate pastor at Timbercreek Community Church, also in Springfield, Mo. Denton received a bachelor’s degree in management and marketing from Evangel, an MBA from Missouri State University, and a Ph.D. in higher education administration from St. Louis University.
“Andy has a track record of success in growing both enrollment and net tuition while leading in an increasingly complex higher education climate at Evangel University, says LaLuzerne. “He has a heart for God and a passion for the mission of Christian higher education. He understands the critical importance of partnering with faculty, current students, and staff to successfully build enrollment.”
“After spending significant time in prayer seeking the Lord’s direction and spending time with members of the Bethel community, it is clear the Lord has led me to join the Bethel team,” says Denton. “I am extremely excited to join the Bethel community and to partner with the campus to build an enrollment that will assist the institution in fulfilling its vision.”
Denton will begin at Bethel in September after relocating to the Twin Cities with his wife, Linda, and their three children.
