Karen Quek joins the Bethel Seminary San Diego faculty as associate professor of marital and family therapy, and program director. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist and professional clinical counselor who holds an M.A. in Christian Education from Biola University, California; an M.S. in Counseling from California State University, Fullerton; and a Ph.D. in Marital and Family Therapy from Loma Linda University, California.
Quek has provided therapy for individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds and experiences for more than 20 years, and has been a core faculty in couples and family therapy programs for more than 10 years. Her research interest is in the area of couples’ relationships and the interplay of various diversity constructs in the context of evolving societal changes.
