About Us
Church Relations
Bethel is passionate about the work of the local church and Christian ministry organizations. Our Church Relations team was formed to reach out to churches and find opportunities for engagement.
Our Focus
Our focus is two-fold: to serve churches and connect them to Bethel students.
We aim to be a source of encouragement to churches by equipping, educating, and inspiring pastors and church staff in fulfilling the mission of Jesus Christ through:
- Events, training, and networking
- Prayer and other resources
- Preaching and speaking support
- Adult and youth teaching
We also connect churches with Bethel students so they can find a church home to worship and serve while they study at Bethel.
Our Mission
Our mission is to cultivate Christ-centered relationships with churches that engage them in the mission of Bethel University.
Our Partners
We partner with several ministries in the Twin Cities and beyond by providing teaching and training resources, financial support, and more.
- Converge - Bethel began as an educational ministry of the fellowship of churches that came to be known as the Baptist General Conference, which now bears the missional name Converge. Bethel and the churches of Converge are true spiritual partners in advancing the Gospel and equipping Christ-followers for leadership and service. This partnership allows us to do far more together than we could accomplish independently through spiritual encouragement, leadership, training, accountability, recruitment, finances, and, most importantly, prayer.
- Trout Lake Camps - The partnership between Bethel and Trout Lake Camps resulted in a scholarship for camp interns who attend Bethel following their summer of service. After their first summer, students will receive a $2,000 scholarship toward their Bethel tuition. For each summer they return to Trout, an intern will receive an additional $2,000 for the following academic year, as long as funds allow.
- Recharge Conference - Gather with ministry workers for worship, learning together through workshops, sharing a meal together at lunch, and getting quality face-to-face time with people who know and understand your passions. Learn more about the Recharge Conference.
