About
Bethel Seminary was founded in Chicago, Illinois, in 1871. As we grew, we moved to our current home in St. Paul, Minnesota, remaining rooted in the Midwest.
Many of our academic programs blend online learning with weeklong classroom intensives, making them a popular option for students throughout the country and the world.
Our St. Paul campus is nestled into several wooded acres just off Snelling Avenue. Seminary students enjoy a quiet, serene experience in academic buildings that have been architected to blend into the natural surroundings.
Located in an expansive and diverse metro area, our campus gives students quick access to internships throughout the Twin Cities. The abundance of churches and ministry organizations serving in all kinds of settings, from tight-knit urban neighborhoods to large suburban communities, lets students jump right into meaningful hands-on work in their area of interest.
Our students are commuters, taking time from their ministry, work, or family schedules to join their seminary peers on campus for classes, events, and group projects.
