Hands-on learning is at the core of all our majors.

In any major or minor applied health sciences department, you’ll have numerous opportunities to apply what you’re learning and gain experience through research, lab work, internships, and more. It’s all part of how we equip you with skills that transfer to any career.

And you’ll be able to get involved right away. Bethel’s size and vibrant community present opportunities for you to get involved from your first day on campus.

Study abroad

You’ll have the chance to study around the world through trips over a full semester, January session, spring break, and summer. These experiences broaden your perspective and deepen your understanding of global health practices.

Hands-on clinical experience

You’ll refine your clinical skills through direct client interaction, including patient assessment, exercise prescription, and monitoring. You’ll learn to effectively address health needs related to lifestyle, aging, and disease.

Research opportunities

You’ll conduct research with support and mentorships from your professors. You can also receive a summer scholarship to conduct research with a professor and pursue opportunities to present your findings at regional and national conferences.

Preparation for life after Bethel

You’ll have opportunities for networking, volunteering, and peer mentoring to build connections with individuals both within and outside of Bethel. Our program integrates interdisciplinary education and mentored research, ensuring you are well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities in the healthcare industry.

Get involved across campus

At Bethel, your opportunities aren’t limited to your major or department. You’ll be able to explore a wide range of interests, from worship to music to intramural sports and beyond.
