Before Bethel
Bethel has been part of my story for quite some time! My dad, Steve, is a '81 grad and worked here for a number of years in the athletic department and was also the head men's hockey coach. My younger brother, Ike, graduated from Bethel in 2019. I spent my college years just down the road at the University of Northwestern - St. Paul, where I graduated with a degree in public relations. I began my career at Thrivent Financial's event planning and recognition department. Following my time at Thrivent, I began working at Legacy Christian Academy, my high school alma mater. During my time at Legacy, I worked in their advancement department as well as their athletic department.
The Best Part of My Job
Christian education has played a very influential role in my life, so I love that I have the opportunity to work at an institution that is playing a critical role in the lives of young people. The best part of my job is creating opportunities for our alumni and families to reconnect with the place and people that have played such an impactful role in their lives. My Guiding Scripture Verse
"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength." (Deuteronomy 6:4-5)
In My Free Time
My husband, Adam, and I both have a heart for coaching, so that is one of the things I love to do in my free time. I believe that athletics are a "test tube for life." Seeing athletes learn life lessons through sports is such a remarkable thing. I also love spending time with my family and friends; I am always up for a coffee or an ice cream cone! The family and friends that know me well also know that I love to organize (I get that from my mom). I'm always thinking of ways to better organize everything in my life.
