Enrolling in a meal plan
There are a variety of meal plans—something for everyone.
Meal plans are available to all students and are either pre-assigned based on student housing or may be purchased through MyBethel by following the prompts in the Tools & Resources menu.
All students living on campus
All students in residence halls except North Village are required to have a Navy meal plan and are pre-assigned a meal plan based on their residence hall with the option to change to another meal plan.
Meal plan options by residence hall
Bodien, Edgren, Getsch, and Nelson Halls
- Students are required to have either the Navy A or Navy B meal plan.
- Students are pre-assigned the Navy A meal plan with the option to change to the Navy B meal plan.
Lissner Hall, Arden Village East, and Heritage Hall
- Students are required to have a Navy meal plan.
- Students are pre-assigned the Navy B meal plan with the option to change to another Navy meal plan.
North Village apartments
- Students may purchase any meal plan, Navy or Gold.
Commuter Meal Plans
Commuter students may purchase any meal plan, Navy or Gold. There is a meal plan application students must fill out to be eligible to select a meal plan. Fill out the form through Housing Cloud.
Dates to Change Your Meal Plan
- Meal plan changes completed after the semester start will be prorated based on a daily rate.
- December 1, 2024-January 6, 2025: January Session changes accepted
- December 1, 2024-February 3, 2025: Spring Term changes accepted
- Housing Cloud Fall Term changes will be accepted until 9/13.
- Need Fall Term changes now?
- Log-in to your Housing.Cloud profile
- Click "Application"
- Select "Manage"
- Select a new plan, then submit it. (be sure to only press the button one time/ it may feel like nothing happened) and go back and refresh your page. If you get an error, let us know.
Changes to meal plans can be made through MyBethel by following prompts for Housing Cloud in the Tools & Resources menu.

What are meals?
Meals are your ticket into Monson Dining Center. Once you walk through the doors, you're free to choose whatever food you'd like. You'll use one "meal" every time you go. Unused meals are forfeited at the end of the term.
What are flex dollars?
You can use flex dollars for a quick snack in Royal Grounds, a meal at the 3900 Grill, or an extra trip to the dining center for you or a friend.
Flex dollars can also be used to deliver Davanni's pizza right to your dorm. Simply call their Arden Hills location at 651.481.7100 to place your order after 4 p.m. and let them know you would like to pay with your flex. All flex purchases must be delivered to campus.
Depending on the plan, you'll have a certain amount of flex for each term—fall, January session, and spring. If you run out, you can always add more. Remember, all purchases of additional flex receive a 10% discount (Add $100 Flex, charged $90 USD). Unspent flex is forfeited at the end of each term.
If you’re on the Gold C or Z Plan plan, you'll pay with flex instead of a 'meal' at Monson Dining Center.
What is the Z-Plan?
If you are a Student Teacher or on-campus student with an internship you may find your commitments and travel time make utilizing the Dining Center difficult. We hope this plan is the solution to your busy schedule! The Z-Plan does not offer any meals, but instead offers a set amount of Flex per semester to be used at any of our three dining locations. Enrollment in the Z-Plan is based upon registration in a minimum number of applicable credits. To determine eligibility please contact dining-services@bethel
What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?
The Office of Accessibility Resources and Services is available to help navigate dining experiences on campus for students who have food allergies or dietary concerns.
