About Shana
My parents met while they were students at Bethel in the 60s, and my great-grandfather was a professor at the Seminary, so I have a rich family history here. I graduated from Bethel with a degree in business management in 1996, and working at Bethel truly feels like coming home! I am thrilled to be a part of the Bethel community once again.
What I enjoy about my job
I work on a wonderful team. Working alongside this group of Christ-followers is one of the best parts of my job. I also am grateful to be able to support those in the Bethel community that extend beyond our campus: alumni, parents, friends, and donors. Also, I love bearing witness to how Bethel prepares students to be salt and light in the world, no matter what direction life takes them.
In my free time
I enjoy hanging out with my husband, Kirby; our kids Jacob, Bekah, Lydia, Joe, Anna, and Sara; and our goldendoodle, Sadie. Some of my favorite things are my family, the outdoors, a good book, post-dinner Scrabble, our church family, laundry dried on the clothesline (sheets especially), music, my wonderful friends, our front porch, podcasts, and coffee. I enjoy volunteering at the elementary school our children all attended and serving at our church.
Guiding Scripture
A favorite verse of mine, and one that I try to have guide my days, is 1 Thessalonians 5:11—"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up."
