Academic Progress for Financial Aid

In order to maintain your financial aid eligibility, you need to keep up with your studies-that means making satisfactory progress toward earning the degree you're pursuing.

Bethel has standards to measure Satisfactory Academic Progress for all of our programs. Students who receive financial aid must meet these standards which measure GPA, successful completion of attempted courses, and the amount of time students take to complete their programs.

Certificate and Licensure Programs

Bethel University's Graduate School offers a variety of education licensure and certificate programs in addition to graduate degrees-many of which are aid eligible.

Even though all programs are at the graduate level academically, some programs are considered undergraduate for federal aid purposes. Learn more about eligibility of education licensure and certificate programs.

Micromasters and Financial Aid Eligibility

Bethel MBA students are allowed to receive credit for the following micromasters programs taught by MITx or through EdX which will count toward a concentration.

• Principles of Manufacturing
• Statistics and Data Science
• Supply Chain Management
• Data, Economics, and Development Policy

For financial aid purposes, these programs are considered "prior learning assessment" and are treated the same as transfer work.

• Students are encouraged to complete all Bethel courses (including the MBA capstone) prior to completing the EdX micromaster program. Students may receive financial aid while taking the Bethel courses, but no forms of financial aid are available to students for their EdX courses following their Bethel enrollment.
• All prior learning courses, including EdX courses cannot be counted toward enrollment status for federal financial aid purposes. If a Bethel student borrows loans in excess of their Bethel tuition and fees costs, those funds may be used at the student's discretion to offset the cost of the EdX coursework.
