Living the Questions
The Vision for Living The Questions
Our purpose is to provide your son or daughter the time, place, and tools to think theologically and discern God’s calling. Our goals are to guide and facilitate:
- The development of thinking theologically by exploring relevant questions raised by topics such as justice, science, and media.
- Understanding and appreciation for how God’s presence connects with human needs through service learning.
- Engagement in reflective discussion to better understand gifts and explore calling.
Payment and Cancellations
The cost of $320 covers housing, food, and all programming. Local congregations are encouraged to provide financial support. Take advantage of an early bird discount by registering early.
Scholarships are available. For information, please email living-the-questions@bethel.edu.
Payments can be made securely online.
Cancellations by May 15 will receive a refund minus a $50 nonrefundable deposit. There are no refunds after June 1.
Summer Institute Safety and Supervision
About the Staff
Your son or daughter will be under the care and guidance of the Living The Questions leadership team, which includes the director, program coordinator, communications coordinator, and Bethel University students who serve as summer staff. We want you to know that your child is in good hands.
Safety Measures
Housing: Students will be staying in one of Bethel's residence halls. The
Security and Safety: Bethel security personnel are on duty 24 hours a day, each day of the year, patrolling and monitoring campus grounds, buildings, and parking lots.

We desire for students to have
Please leave at home all expensive jewelry and electronics (i.e. TVs, video games).
Students shall not have or use fireworks, alcohol, tobacco, non-prescribed drugs, or weapons of any kind.
