Here are a few key dates for the year–and details about continuing as a Bethel student for the spring semester of senior year or after high school graduation.
Prepare for your final PSEO Semester
Schedule a campus visit.
If you have not taken a PSEO course on campus or had a chance to visit yet, we would love to host you! Schedule a personalized visit to experience the energy of life on campus.
Prepare for spring registration.
Beginning October 1, you can submit your State PSEO Form for spring semester. After this is completed, you’ll meet with a Bethel academic advisor to plan for registration.
Register for January and/or spring courses.
Registration happens online in November, and details will be communicated to you.
Continuing at Bethel after high school graduation
Apply to Bethel.
Fill out the first-year student application, and an admissions counselor will guide you through the rest of the admissions process.
Pay your enrollment deposit.
Let us know you're coming to Bethel, and save your spot with your $300 enrollment deposit. It's fully refundable until June 1.
Complete your FAFSA.
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is used to determine eligibility for need-based federal, state, and Bethel grants. It's also required if you’re interested in federal loans and work-study.
If you need to complete the FAFSA, you can do that here beginning in December.
If you don’t intend to complete the FAFSA, please submit the opt-out form.
RSVP for a Royal Retreat.
Reserve your spot at a Royal Retreat event just for admitted students. You'll meet your future classmates and get to know the campus–and there are several dates available.

Key dates and links
- Anytime after August of your senior year: Apply to Bethel.
- Upon acceptance, you will receive the first part of your financial aid: your Royal Merits Scholarship. It’s based on information provided during the Admissions process, and there is not a separate application.
- After acceptance, apply for departmental, faith-related, and identity scholarships.
- January: Complete the FAFSA or opt out.
- Beginning in late February: Receive your full financial aid package from Bethel, which includes your Royal Merits Scholarship, need-based aid, work study, and loan options.
- April: Course Registration for fall semester
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I register for classes?
Interim and spring: The Early College Advising team will send details about how to register for interim and spring classes. You’ll need to work with your high school counselor to submit another PSEO State Form by October 1. Then you’ll meet with an academic advisor to discuss courses to take that fulfill your high school requirements.
Fall: If you’re interested in continuing at Bethel after high school graduation, you’ll need to reapply to Bethel by filling out the traditional application. You’ll meet with an academic advisor to plan your schedule and register with other returning Bethel students.
Which classes can I take as a PSEO student?
As a PSEO student, your first priority should be to take the courses that are required for high school graduation.You can find a list of common Bethel courses that PSEO students take to meet these requirements here. It is critical that you discuss your courses with your high school counselor before the semester begins to ensure you’re fulfilling your high school graduation requirements.
How many credits do I need to take?
As a PSEO student, you can decide how many credits you wish to take and the format in which you take classes (online, in-person, or hybrid). You can take a maximum of 16 credits per semester. If you have questions, please reach out to the Early College Advising Team.
To continue at Bethel after high school graduation, do I have to apply?
As a senior PSEO student, if you wish to be considered for admission for fall 2024, please complete the first-year student application on our website.
Do I have to pay an enrollment deposit?
If you choose to return to Bethel following high school graduation, the $300 enrollment deposit will claim your spot at Bethel. This allows you to register for courses and sign up for housing.
What scholarships and financial aid are available after my PSEO year?
Students will receive a Royal Merits Scholarship, which is awarded based on information provided in your application. Check out additional Bethel scholarships.
The first step in applying for financial aid is completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which opens in January. Financial aid awards will be sent out beginning in February.
Where can I live on campus after my PSEO year?
- If you’d like to live in first-year housing (Bodien, Edgren, Getsch, Nelson), follow the New Student Housing Process.
- If you’d like to live in sophomore housing (Lissner, Arden, North), follow the Returning Student Housing Process.
