How to Apply
Complete your online application.
To help you prepare, here’s the essay prompt you’ll see in the application:
- In 150-1,000 words each, describe:
- your relationship with Jesus Christ.
- why you want to attend Bethel University.
Also included in the online application is your affirmation to the Covenant for Life Together.
Submit a copy of your passport.
You can email it to enrollment-data@bethel.edu.
Submit your transcripts.
Submit your official high school transcripts and all college or university transcripts. Transcripts must be submitted through a secure online portal or in a sealed envelope to the Office of Admissions. If you did not attend high school and/or college in the U.S, you are required to have your transcripts evaluated. We are unable to accept unevaluated transcripts.
Send your standardized test scores, if applicable.
If English is not your primary language, you are required to take either the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). If you attended high school in the U.S. or at a high school where instruction was done in English, you do not need to submit test scores.
Admissions Standards
- Graduation from an accredited secondary school or equivalent
- High school grade point average of at least 3.0 (unweighted)
- College grade point average of at least 2.8 (unweighted)
- If English is not your primary language, minimum scores 80 iBT-TOEFL, 550 PBT-TOEFL, or 6.5 IELTS
Completed applications will be reviewed and considered on an individual basis. References and additional information may be requested in certain cases.
If there is reason to doubt the validity of the high school diploma or recognized equivalent, Bethel University will follow our procedures to verify completion of high school, recognized equivalent of a high school diploma or college coursework.
Admissions Deadlines
To be considered for admission, all admissions materials must be received by the application deadline. With our rolling admissions, we review your application when it's complete and let you know as soon as we've made a decision. We continue to admit students until May 1.
