As you prepare to borrow loans, we advise you to borrow only what you need and only what you can repay.
Direct Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loans
If your award says you're eligible to borrow a Direct Subsidized or Unsubsidized Loan, learn how to apply and complete the process.
Parent PLUS or Private Loans
After comparing your options, you may have decided that a PLUS or private loan matches your needs.
Your financial aid award lists the maximum amount your parent may pursue in a Direct PLUS Loan (dependent students only) or the amount you may pursue through a Private loan. This amount is identified as "PLUS/Private Loan Eligibility" in your award. If you accept this amount online via Blink it indicates your intent to pursue a PLUS or private loan. You or your parent must apply separately with the lender for the loan you select. Applications are available after April 1.
