Actuarial Science and Finance Scholarship

Amount

$4,000 awarded to each of three incoming students.

Renewal

Renewable for one additional year—a total of two years. To renew, recipients must remain an actuarial science and finance major, make satisfactory progress toward their degree, and maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30.

Eligibility

At the time of application, students must:

  • Be U.S. citizens or permanent residents
  • Be high school seniors during the 2024-2025 school year
  • Have an unweighted high school grade point average of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale
  • Submit an ACT or SAT score

Dependents of Bethel employees are not eligible for the Actuarial Science and Finance Scholarship.

Academic requirements

Scholarship recipients must enroll at Bethel in fall 2025, majoring in actuarial science and finance.

Deadline

Application deadline: February 15, 2025.

Scholarship timeline

  • Apply between now and February 15, 2025.
  • On-campus or virtual interview and tour if chosen as a finalist in February.
  • Announcement of scholarship awards: March 1, 2025.

How to apply

Interested students who meet the scholarship eligibility requirements will be asked to complete the following when applying for the Actuarial Science & Finance Scholarship.

  1. Apply to Bethel University
  2. Submit the Actuarial Science & Finance Scholarship Application

The application will ask for the following elements:

  • Explain what appeals to you about Bethel's actuarial science & finance major.
  • Provide the name, email address, and discipline of a teacher who would provide a letter of recommendation for you if you are selected as a finalist.
  • Participate in an interview with faculty in the Departments of Math and Business if you are selected as a finalist.
  • Upload a resume.

Complete the Actuarial Science & Finance Scholarship application by the February 15, 2025, deadline.
