Actuarial Science and Finance Scholarship

Amount

$4,000 for each of three incoming students.

Renewal

Renewable for one additional year (total of two years). For renewal, recipients must remain an Actuarial Science and Finance major, make satisfactory progress towards their degree and maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30.

Eligibility

At the time of application, students must:

  • Be U.S. citizens or permanent residents
  • Be high school seniors during the 2023-2024 school year
  • Have an unweighted high school grade point average of at least 3.30 (4.0 scale)
  • ACT or SAT score required
  • Dependents of Bethel employees are not eligible for the Actuarial Science and Finance Scholarship.

Academic requirements

Scholarship recipients must enroll at Bethel in the fall of 2024, majoring in Actuarial Science and Finance.

Deadline

Application deadline of February 15, 2024.

Scholarship Timeline

  • Apply between now and February 15, 2024.
  • On-campus or virtual interview and tour if chosen as finalist in February.
  • Announcement of scholarship awards: March 1, 2024.

How to apply

Interested students who meet the scholarship eligibility requirements will be asked to complete the following when applying for the Actuarial Science & Finance Scholarship.

First, apply to Bethel University.

Then submit the Actuarial Science & Finance Scholarship Application, which asks for the following elements:

  1. Explain what appeals to you about Bethel's Actuarial Science & Finance major.
  2. Provide the name, email address, and discipline of a teacher who would provide a letter of recommendation for you if you are selected as a finalist.
  3. Participate in an interview with faculty in the Departments of Math and Business if you are selected as a finalist.
  4. Upload a resume.

Complete the Actuarial Science & Finance Scholarship application by the February 15, 2024 deadline.
