Sports & Recreation
Student Life
Hit the weight room. Take a jog along the Russell W. Nature Trail. Or join an intramural broomball team with friends.
When it's time to get out and move at Bethel, you've got options, but not just because we know that everybody likes to work out differently. We believe a well-rounded education means growing in spirit, mind, and body.
Royal Athletics
If you're serious about your sport, Bethel offers 18 NCAA Division III athletic programs, all within the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC).
Club Sports
Bethel Student Government (BSG) sponsors club sports, including hockey, lacrosse, ultimate frisbee and volleyball. You'll compete with other colleges and universities in the Twin Cities area.
Intramurals (Co-ed Rec)
Led by students, co-ed intramural sports include vollebyall, broomball, basketball and pickleball. With a more community-based environment, they offer a little more fun and a little less competition.
Disc Golf and Nature Trail
We're big into "frolf"-or disc golf. Our campus is home to one of the best disc golf courses in the Twin Cities offering a dynamic 18-hole round that bends along Lake Valentine and through the wooded hills on the north end of campus.
The one-mile Russell W. Johnson Nature Trail winds its way around the perimeter of campus and passes along Lake Valentine. Enjoy some peace and quiet—take a short jog alone or with a friend.
