Student Employment Opportunities

Marketing at Bethel is all about sharing the Bethel story with communities around the world. The Bethel story revolves around Bethel students as they grow in their faith, learn who they are, and become who they’re meant to be.

Our department is honored to share the student experience with external audiences. To do that well, we need students! Our student employment positions provide fantastic opportunities to gain hands-on experience meant to help build resumes. Our team is thrilled to welcome students into our creative environment designed for collaboration, mentorship, and life-long learning.

TikTok Student Specialist

Do you love TikTok? Do you love Bethel? The Office of Marketing & Communications is growing their team of student TikTok specialists who participate in content brainstorming, production, and posting for our university TikTok account. We are looking for students who show passion for Bethel’s mission, are familiar with TikTok, exhibit a high level of professionalism, and will bring creative ideas and skills to the team.

The TikTok team will meet occasionally to discuss new ideas and current projects, but the remaining hours will be highly flexible, driven by individual project timelines.

Hours: Varies 3-5 hours/week

Social Media Student Ambassador

Prospective students are most engaged with Bethel when they hear from current Bethel students—like you! The Social Media Ambassadors will represent the Bethel student experience on the university’s social media platforms and on their personal social media platforms through content ideation, production, and posting—to reach new audiences and increase engagement.

We are looking for students who show passion for Bethel’s mission, are active social media, exhibit a high level of professionalism, and will bring creative ideas and skills to the team.

Hours: Varies 5-8 hours/week

Student Videographer

Are you a storyteller with a keen visual eye? Have you roped your friends into spending weekends making cell-phone short films or TikToks with you? Come join the Bethel Video Marketing team on a scheduled or on-call basis and get paid to express your video shooting and editing expertise while growing and learning from a team with over 25 years combined experience. 

Hours: 8-12 hours/week

Social Media Student Manager

The Office of Marketing & Communications is hiring a Social Media Student Manager to help brainstorm, schedule, manage content on the Bethel University social platforms, and supervise the social media student team. We are looking for a student who has a high level of responsibility, takes initiative, and is excited to grow professionally in this position. Experience with cross-channel social media strategy is strongly preferred.

Hours: Varies 5-8 hours/week

Student Writer

Do you have a way with words? Do you love Bethel and want to help tell the Bethel story? The Bethel marketing team is hiring a student writer to assist with writing, editing, brainstorming, and proofing marketing materials to support Bethel’s brand platform and marketing strategies. We are looking for a student with excellent writing and storytelling skills, the ability to take initiative and work on a deadline, and a commitment to representing Bethel with excellence to both internal and external audiences.

Hours: Up to 10 hours/week

Student Designer

Do you want to help tell the Bethel story using compelling visuals, photos, and design? The Bethel marketing team is seeking a student designer to assist with designing, brainstorming, and producing marketing materials to support Bethel’s brand platform and marketing strategies. Student Designers will assist marketing and communications staff with layout, photo editing, and design, as well as various projects and clerical functions, including assisting asset management and social media content creation.

Hours: 8 hours/week
