Teaching Preparation Minor

Bachelor of Arts

With a minor in teaching preparation, you’ll be able to blend your primary major with a passion for teaching and education.

A professor engages with students working on a group project using colorful materials in a Bethel University classroom.

By adding a teaching preparation minor, you’ll merge your love of subjects like biology, chemistry, physics, art, and business with a clear path to graduate school and a teaching career. You’ll prepare to meet the Minnesota Standards of Effective Practice (MSEP) and earn a teaching license. For example, if you're earning a B.A. in Chemistry with an education minor, you could continue to Bethel’s graduate M.A. in Teaching program to complete the necessary courses for a high school chemistry teaching license. This minor provides a robust selection of potential subjects to teach, allowing you to pair it with your primary area of study and transition seamlessly to graduate school for licensure.
