Amount
$2,500 per school year—or $10,000 over four years. When paired with the Bethel Promise Grant, your tuition will be completely covered.
The Jeremiah 29 Scholarship Program at Bethel University is designed to inspire and equip a diverse group of students to lead with integrity, excel academically, and serve their communities. The program reflects Bethel’s commitment to fostering a Christ-guided community that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. About 80% of the scholarships will be awarded to historically underrepresented, low-income, or Pell-eligible students.
Renewal
The Jeremiah 29 Scholarship is available for a total of four years if scholars meet program requirements:
- Maintaining satisfactory academic progress (SAP) as defined by Bethel University.
- Living on campus and actively participating in the J29 cohort initiatives.
- Demonstrating ongoing commitment to leadership, service, and academic excellence.
Eligibility
To qualify for the J29 Scholarship, you must:
- Be first-time, degree-seeking undergraduates in Bethel’s College of Arts & Sciences.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Commit to living on campus for four years.
- Show leadership potential, academic promise, and a heart for serving others.
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Be eligible for the Bethel Promise Grant and a Minnesota resident
Application Process
- Apply to Bethel University
Submit your application and transcripts by February 15, 2025. - Complete the J29 application
Provide references, write an essay, and share how the scholarship aligns with your aspirations. - Visit campus
Semifinalists are invited to a campus visit on March 20, 2025, for interviews and leadership activities. - Accept your award
Finalists will be notified by April 1, 2025, and must confirm their participation by April 15, 2025.
