Communication Arts & Literature 5-12 (B.A.)

The Communication Arts & Literature 5-12 (B.A.) is designed to prepare you to be a high school or middle school English teacher. You’ll complete the education courses required to meet Minnesota standards for middle and high school English including literature, writing, speech, journalism, and media studies. This program has approval through the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB).

Per the U.S. Department of Education Regulation 34 CFR 668.43 (a) (5) (v), we have determined that our curriculum meets educational requirements for becoming licensed as a teacher in Minnesota. Please refer to the full list of determinations regarding all fifty states as well as the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the Northern Mariana Islands for any wishing to become a licensed teacher.
