Office of Inclusive Excellence

At Bethel, we believe that everyone is made in the image of God.

That means you'll find a place where you belong at Bethel. Here, we strive to be a community guided by the Biblical narrative and the life of Jesus, which calls us to love God and our neighbors as ourselves. That drives us as we cultivate a learning community that fosters flourishing for all. Our commitment to inclusive excellence is embedded in Bethel’s educational mission of developing servant leaders and scholars while paving a path for student success and transformation. We strive to help you and everyone in our community become the person they are meant to be so that together we are what we were created to be—a reflection of the house of God.

Our Vision

We will cultivate a Christ-centered learning community that fosters flourishing for all

Get Involved

Our programs and partnerships express Bethel's commitment to providing support and opportunities to all students and employees.

Academic Inclusive Excellence

Diversity is woven throughout our curriculum, and we also offer programs, majors, and minors with a special focus on intercultural understanding, justice, and reconciliation at the undergraduate, adult undergraduate, seminary, and graduate levels.

Cultural Intelligence (CQ)

We have implemented CQ assessments and training to help faculty and staff identify their strengths and areas for improvement—all so they can function more effectively in multicultural and diverse settings.
There’s a great opportunity for Bethel to serve as a beacon of what it means to be a part of something bigger than ourselves, a beacon of what it means to participate in God's redemptive work in the world.
