General Information

In order to effect an orderly parking environment in light of a parking deficit on our campus, Safety and Security has been tasked with developing the University's Motor Vehicle Regulations.

Anyone operating a vehicle on Bethel University property is responsible for compliance with these regulations.

Parking enforcement, violation, and penalties

Vehicles observed to violate these regulations may be given a citation notice. A citation fee will be assessed based upon a graduated fee schedule determined by the vehicle's violation history.

Violations must be appealed within 30 days if there are extenuating circumstances surrounding the violation. The Parking Appeals Committee reviews all motor vehicle violation appeals.

Institutional liability

Neither Bethel University nor the Office of Safety and Security are liable for any damage to a vehicle caused by, but not limited to, vandalism, theft, hit and run, collision, or acts of God such as wind, hail, or falling objects.
