Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA)
- Health FSA: Pre-tax reimbursement for eligible medical, dental, and vision expenses

- Health Savings Account (HSA): Those enrolled in a High Deductible Health Plan

Retirement Program
Bethel's retirement program is designed to help you plan for the future.
- For eligible employees, Bethel contributes 2% of your gross annual earnings to a 401(a) account on an immediate vesting basis at no cost to you (no minimum contribution is required)
- Additional, optional contributions can also be deducted from your paycheck and put into a 403(b) account
Tuition Benefit
Bethel offers several options for advancing your own education and career, and also your family's. We offer 100 areas of study for traditional undergraduate students, several adult undergraduate programs, and graduate degrees, certificates, and licenses for advancing your career. Our Tuition Benefit Program provides:
- Employees: 100% after nine months of benefits-eligible service
- Spouses & Dependents: 65-95% (depending on length of benefits-eligible service)
- Please note some programs are not eligible for the tuition benefit
Paid Leave
Whether it's time relaxing on vacation, needing to care for sick family members, or enjoying a beautiful day at the lake, Bethel understands the importance of providing time away from work. Annual staff paid leave includes:
- 11 Paid Holidays plus gift days which include the entire time between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day
- Two to three weeks of Vacation Leave (prorated if part-time)
- Up to three days of Personal Leave
- Up to three weeks of Sick Leave (plus short-term and long-term disability coverage)
- Up to three days of Civic Engagement & Community Service Leave

- On-campus dining. Enjoy a cup of Caribou Coffee at Royal Grounds or a meal in one of other two dining locations. You'll enjoy a significantly reduced price for meals purchased in our Monson Dining Center.
- On-campus health services. From first aid and lab work, to blood pressure and strep throat checks, our Health Services team of registered nurses, nurse practitioners, and campus physician are here to help if you need it.
- On-campus exercise facilities. When the weather is warm (or if you don't mind the snow) you can enjoy the trails that circle our 247-acre campus or play a match of tennis on our outdoor courts. With the Wellness Center, the tools for healthy living are more convenient and accessible than ever. The additional 11,000 square feet of fitness area gives you a whole new experience for working out, with cutting-edge training equipment and studio spaces designed for group fitness. We also have two racquetball courts, and a Sports and Recreation Center featuring indoor basketball and tennis courts. Those who work at the Anderson Center have direct access to a paved bike and walking trail.
- Bethel events. Cheer on Royal's athletics at one of our 18 varsity sports or enjoy a theatre or music performance in the renowned Benson Great Hall. Many of these events are free or at a reduced cost to employees.
- Library access. Love books? Enjoy free access to thousands of books and materials through Bethel's Library and our partnership with other Minnesota-area libraries. If you're looking for a book, they'll find it.
- Local business discounts. Enjoy discounts on things like oil changes from great business partners.
