Employment
Key Employee Commitments
At Bethel, our employees help shape a Christ-guided community where students and colleagues can thrive. Together, we uphold Bethel’s Covenant for Life Together and Affirmation of Faith as we live out our mission to develop whole and holy persons. While we come from diverse Christian traditions, we commit to supporting Bethel’s theological identity and policies—engaging with kindness, integrity, and discernment. In matters not directly addressed in Scripture, we strive for responsible freedom and unity rooted in shared faith.
Key commitments include:
- Participating in Christian community and practices for spiritual growth
- Rejecting discrimination and treating others with respect
- Avoiding gossip, divisiveness, and malicious humor
- Making wise, healthy choices in leisure, media, and social engagement, including on social media
- Caring for God’s creation and avoiding materialism
- Living free of sexual misconduct, pornography, and exploitive behavior
- Honoring sexuality through fidelity in marriage (between one man and one woman) and abstinence in singleness; cohabitation is not permitted
- Abstaining from tobacco, illegal or non-medicinal drugs, and alcohol when on campus or in the presence of CAS students; using alcohol responsibly elsewhere
