Short-Term & Long-Term Disability Benefits
People and Culture Employee Resources Benefits Benefits Offered
Bethel provides benefits-eligible employees with short-term disability and, if necessary, long-term disability salary continuation for circumstances that render the employee disabled and unable to work in their current position. Short-term disability helps continue the employee's salary at a percentage based on length of service and continues for up to six months. Long-term disability includes a monthly benefit of 60% of earnings, up to a maximum monthly benefit of $5,000, until age 65. Further details about these benefits can be found in the Employee Handbook under the short-term and long-term disability insurance sections. To set up a meeting regarding leave, please contact the Office of People and Culture.
